Within the last week or two (time's flying too fast these days!), Ellie has started to string a couple of words together. So far her phrases include:
"Hi Dada/Mama/Mimi/Papa"
"Oh, (insert name -- see above)"
"All done"
"All gone"
"Please" used with a variety of words like down, up, and more.
I'm impressed with Ellie's ability to get her point across using only a few words. For example, we were sitting around the dinner table the other night and I was (light-heartedly) commenting on the mediocre amount of food Ellie had eaten at lunch earlier that day. She looked me square in the eyes and said, without hesitation but with a tone that couldn't have been more clear, "All done." As in, "I'm 'all done' listening to you talk, Mom."
